Golden Pancake House in Dodge City

The food is pretty good, but they sure are proud of it. $2.15 for one extra egg. $4.40 for a side of bacon, sausage, or ham. $4.20 extra if you want pancakes. That's on top of your meal that's already starting at minimum $7+ plus $2 coffee. Here's the problem: I didn't want pancakes, toast, or hashbrowns with my breakfast. I wanted to sub a side of bacon. I was told no, we couldn't do that because apparently 2 pieces of bacon is more expensive than the aforementioned. I don't mind paying for good food but I can't handle greed. Probably be my last visit.

I find the quality of the food to be spotty. I really enjoy the fried eggs, delicious hash browns, patty sausage, and pancakes. I have found the omelets to be over cooked and dry. The ham, while huge, was very fatty and salty. So I recommend giving the restaurant a try. You might find something you like, even if it takes a few times like it took me.

Food wad pretty good today. I had the enchilada, very yummy. Rest of our order was chicken strips and tacos. The chicken strips are real chicken, not processed. And the tacos are authentic Mexican tacos, also very yummy. Highly suggest ratting here now.

Super good food!! Serve breakfeast lunch and dinner all times. Its not busy at most times so you can always seat yourself. A hidden gem!

Nice place to eat. Great omelettes and plenty of hot coffee. Very friendly staff and good service. Worth the drive.

Helpings we're plentiful. I had the hot beef sandwich it was delicious and you don't go away hungry. Service was excellent. I recommend this place to anyone passing thru Dodge City KS.

I don't know how the food was because the place was closed despite the hours listed on the door and online. It kinda looked like it was for the better.

Not good food at all. Thin, over cooked bacon and strange, overly sugary, artificial tasting pancakes that wouldn't even cut normally. I have a feeling they're probably the frozen kind you just microwave, at least that's what they reminded of. Don't worry, though. They'll bring you 17 containers of bright yellow margarine and a sticky bottle of Hungry Jack to mask the taste.

We go to the Golden Pancake house every Friday night . Louise almost always has the Chicken Fried Chicken. I usually have an enchalada . Service is always wonderfull .

The best homemade country fried steak I’ve had in a very long time. Good coffee, great homemade salsa and excellent service. Fluffy biscuits and definitely real butter, not margarine. Too much food but that’s what to go boxes are for. :)

Was a pretty busy morning; Jeff Dunham had sold out the night before so there were lots of people in town. The staff hustled and were very friendly. Food was delicious. Got to have breakfast with the owner, purely by chance! We will definitely be back!

The potatoes were good service was good . It was clean . Chicken fried steak was not very good . Was asked white or dark meat and served 1drum stick ,half raw and half a breast. The salad bar had a very small choice.

Food was very good. The inside has seen better days, but overall this place is great option for breakfast.

We had the chicken fried steak and chicken, all 3 of us was sick after leaving this place. We was hoping to enjoy a meal at a comfort food place instead of being sick all night. Greasy food.

They have good food, and the coffee is very good! They have a very good variety of different foods and breakfast all day! I had the waffles! Very good...my husband had liver and onions...he said they where really good..home town atmosphere.

My #1 recommendation for homestyle breakfast or dinner. This is my regular breakfast spot and my recommendation for all pilots flying in to KDDC.

Talk about a blast from the past. A genuine old school diner feel and great food. Six min walk from flying j truck stop. Well worth it!

Does not need to be in operation. Rude waitresses I never got a napkin or drink refill and the toast was wet. The food was not good at all. I don't know how they have 4 stars.
